Based in Plymouth, U:1 Artist Collective draws together emerging creative practitioners from all areas of the visual arts, in order to create a productive and challenging social network. Creating a regular program of exhibiting opportunities within the city and beyond, allows the group members to experiment with fresh approaches to presenting and questioning the nature of their chosen mediums, helping bring to light the talent that students and locals hold.

Welcome to the U:1 Artist Collective Blog!
Hello everyone who is reading this! How are you?
U:1 Artist Collective is an artist led initiative who organise and take part in exhibitions and events in the Plymouth area.
The collective was originally called U:1 studios and was established in 2008. Since then the aims of the collective have changed and we have changed to U:1 Artist collective and have some lovely new members.
We hold meetings on Wednesdays to discuss the current project/exhibition/event at Plymouth Art Centre.
We also organise and take part in workshops which we are hoping to take into the community very soon.
On this blog will be information about upcoming exhibitions/events, photos of past and present exhibitions and imagery of artwork of the members.

Our next exhibition which we are busy organising will be in March and the concept is 'feeling insignificant within a vast space'. All the artists will be working together to change the atmosphere of the exhibition space and how the viewer experiences that space.
